Our team consists of qualified and experienced individuals with a wide range of skills that enhance each other to deliver a quality service.  All our staff are DBS checked.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Terry Mann

As Founder and Director of STEPScic, Terry has over fifteen years experience in social care. Having started his career at Leonard Cheshire, Terry then worked for Wigan Council taking the lead on innovative projects in adult services. These projects gained local and national recognition and not only led to European exposure but also led to a meeting with HRH The Queen. In his spare time Terry is a committed volunteer coach for a junior rugby league team at Shevington Sharks ARLFC and has supported local sporting organisations by providing sponsorship.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Louise Mann BA(hons)QTS

As the Internal Verifier for Open Awards, Louise oversees accredited learning.  She ensures that those individuals that wish to achieve certification are able to gain recognition for their achievements and reach their potential.  Louise also undertakes the role of art workshop facilitator and is responsible for providing 2D and 3D art projects. We have been proud to present the work in previous years at the Turnpike Gallery in Leigh. Louise brings over ten years secondary school teaching experience to both these roles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jackie Kennedy

As Day Service Manager, Jackie is responsible for ensuring that all our attendees needs are met and is available for any daily queries or concerns.    Jackie has worked for STEPScic for over five years and during that time has acquired a wealth of experience and qualifications in social care.  Jackie previously worked for over thirty years in travel, media and field sales for national organisations, therefore bringing excellent organisation and communication skills to the role.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jayne Shaw

As Administration Manager at STEPScic, Jayne is responsible for ensuring that we are compliant with all recommendations set down by local government.     She has brought a wealth of experience to the role having over twenty years previous managerial experience within a leading national retail organisation and over ten years experience at the Department for Work and Pensions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ian Young

As Senior Support Worker, Ian provides support and assistance as well as overseeing a designated group of attendees to ensure that we have up to date information and are meeting the needs of the individuals.  Ian brings over twelve years of social care experience and qualifications to the role.  Previously, Ian was an Upholsterer and French polisher and in his spare time he is well known on the Crown Green Bowling circuit having represented Lancashire.  Ian has an extensive footballing background having not only played but also managed a team.  We are proud to be able to use Ian’s knowledge, skills and experience when providing sessions at STEPScic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rob Fellows

As a Support Worker, Rob is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals who access STEPScic.  Rob brings over fifteen years of social care experience and qualifications to the role.  Having previously been a joiner for over twenty five years, we are proud to be able to  use his skills and experience within our woodwork and joinery sessions at our fully equipped workshop.  In his spare time Rob likes to be outdoors, enjoying camping, rambling and other outdoor pursuits.  Rob’s passion and enthusiasm for both his work and his interests engages and enthuses all our attendees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alexander Shaw

As a Support Worker, Alex is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals who access STEPScic.  Alex joined STEPScic as a school leaver and has gone on to successfully complete his Apprenticeship in Social Care.   In his spare time Alex coaches Rugby League to young people and during his time at STEPScic took a sabbatical to develop his own skills by playing Rugby League in France.  We are proud that Alex is now able to use those skills within sessions at STEPScic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Christine Foley

As a Support Worker, Christine is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals who access STEPScic.  Christine has over twenty years experience within both care and education environments, working with a cross section of ages, abilities and backgrounds.  With a passion for gardening Christine is keen to pass on her knowledge and skills to our attendees.  We are proud to be able to use Christine’s experience in our sessions at STEPScic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brandon Holcroft

As a Support Worker, Brandon is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals who access STEPScic.  Brandon has gained a wealth of experience, having previously worked at a charity that supports people of all ages with and without disabilities.  He has developed sessions  within both the arts, sports and animal care.  We are proud to be able to use Brandon’s skills and experience within sessions at STEPScic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jaime Young

As a Support Worker, Jaime is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals who access STEPScic.  Jaime has over 20 years experience as a fully qualified level 2 hairdresser as well as working within the care sector for Wigan Council.  She has also had over 14 years managerial experience within a leading retail organisation.  Jaime leads our hair and beauty sessions in our on site salon.  We are proud to be able to use Jaime’s skills and experience in our sessions at STEPScic.

Aggi Chudobska

As a support worker, Aggi is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals who access STEPScic. Aggi brings over six years social care experience and qualifications to the role. Having skills within textiles and a passion for gardening, Aggi is keen to develop the skills of our attendees. We are proud to be able to use Aggi’s knowledge, skills and experience when providing sessions at STEPScic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emma-Jane Young

As a support worker, Emma-Jane is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals who access STEPScic.  Emma-Jane has previously worked in education, providing support and assistance to those with special education needs.  Emma has an enthusiastic approach and is keen to promote independance within our sessions.  We are proud to be able to use Emma-Jane’s skills and experience at STEPScic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

James Whinnet BA(Hons)QTS

As a Support Worker, James is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals who access STEPScic. James has a wealth of knowledge and experience in education having worked in both teaching and support staff roles. James is fluent in Spanish and has a keen interest in gaming and technology. Sheila Cassidy Aspinall

As a Support Worker, Sheila is responsible for providing support and assistance to those individuals that access STEPScic.  Sheila has a wealth of experience in hospitality and catering having had her own business for many years and will lead the sessions in our fully equipped kitchen.  We are proud to be able to use Sheila’s skills and experience within sessions at STEPScic.
